A rock-hewn church in LalibelaLalibela is one of the most famous destinations for tourists in Ethiopia, and not without reason. It is a small town that dates back to the 12th Century in the middle of the Lasta mountains. It is a pillar of religious devotion in Ethiopia.

Referred to as the 8th wonder of the world by UNESCO, the 11 rock-hewn churches are the main attractions of Lalibela. Indeed the town is named after the ancient King behind the construction of these magnificent churches-King Lalibela. Legend also has it that these churches were constructed with the physical help of angels.
